Growing Use and Misuse of Computers

The annals of crime are recording a new and growing type of criminal activity: crimes involving computers. Fraud, embezzlement, blackmail and other crimes committed by the manipulation or misuse of computers cost Americans more than $100-million a year, according to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.1 “Today business and government are more vulnerable to white-collar crime through use of computers than they were ever before or probably ever will be in the future,” according to Donn B.
