To find content, a researcher may begin by either entering a search term in the keyword search bar located either within the main page banner or in the top-right corner of the screen, or by using various browsing options. Reports can be browsed by:

- Topic - nearly 30 different topical categories Date - reports are available from 1923 to present, 100 years' of content at your fingertips
- Hot Topic - quickly access up-to-date abbreviated coverage of 10 of the most popular research topics. There reports are updated at least once a year
- Pro/Con - essays written by outside experts who argue a "yes" or "no" position on a vital question related to the topic
